Week's End Report - August 28, 2015

Tip of the Week!

Beginning this week on the Lafayette campus we will begin performing course checks.

We check each online course for:
  • Syllabus (Instructor, Supervisor, and Online Learning contact information; non-attendance deadline and last date of withdraw)
  • Calendar (printable calendar with due dates, viewable calendar with due dates, and no due dates falling on college non-instructional days)
  • Instructor button (filled out with at least two forms of communication)
  • Grade Center (instructors should be posting grades within 7 days of the assignment due date)
We check each face-to-face course to make sure the following items are present and up-to-date:
  • Syllabus
  • Instructor button
  • Grade Center
If you would like to check and make sure that your course is set up correctly and will pass the course check with flying colors, take a look at our Getting Started website:

Week's End Report - August 7, 2015

Tip of the Week!

Many of you have been added to your fall courses in Blackboard. If you are teaching online, please remember that all online courses are required to use standard course shells, which are loaded by the Instructional Design Center. We are in the process of loading content into all online courses. If you have access to your course and it is currently empty, please do not do anything with the course until the content has been loaded. Courses must be empty prior to being loaded with the appropriate course shell, so any existing content will be bulk deleted.

Note: If you are in a region outside of Lafayette and Kokomo, your region may have different procedures for loading course content. Check with your Online Technologies Coordinator (OTC) or your Program Chair for more information.

Those of you who have access to your loaded fall courses, see the Getting Started website for all the information you need for setting up your course!
